Friends of Friars

At the Friars Primary School, our PTA are known as The Friends of Friars (FOFs) and have a hugely important role within the school. The Friends of Friars organise many fantastic activities across the school year.

The staff at this school care about your child and want to work with you for the benefit of your child. There will be opportunities throughout the year for you to find out more about your child’s work. We have three Parents’ Evenings in Autumn, Spring and at the end of the Summer Term. You will be informed of the targets that have been set for your child and their progress, and you can discuss any worries or problems that you are concerned about. You will also receive an annual written report of your child’s progress.
There are also Open Days, special assemblies and fund raising events which everyone is welcome to attend.

If you have any concerns you are welcome to make an appointment to see the Headteacher or the Class Teacher. Please remember that the Class Teacher has a commitment to the class at 9:00am and, as the school is open plan, it is not always appropriate to discuss matters at this time.

If you feel your concerns have not been dealt with adequately there are other procedures you can follow. Please contact the Chair of Governors, Mr C. Burke on 07774 892 277
